SESSIONAL LECTURERS/TUTORS – GUIDANCE & COUNSELLING (Part-time)

We are currently seeking experienced and qualified academics who will be responsible for teaching into our Master of Guidance and Counselling programme.  We invite applications from candidates with a background in all areas of counselling. Experience in tertiary teaching is highly desirable.

 

Duties:

  • Contribute to our Master of Guidance and Counselling programme through postgraduate teaching; 
  • Assist with the administration of the course including assessment and moderation, and provide written evaluative and formative feedback on student work in a timely manner; 
  • Provide student consultation on coursework matters;
  • Communicate effectively with students and other academic staff. 

 

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum Masters-level qualification in Counselling;
  • Evidence of quality teaching and assessment across a range of subjects at the postgraduate level;  
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relations with colleagues in an academic environment and with people from diverse backgrounds; 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
