Responsibilities

  • Circulation and shelving of returned books
  • Knowledgeable guidance in identifying resources for information need, regardless of format
  • Asst in the promotion of information literacy and other workshops and events conducted by the library.
  • Collection development duties and technical processing of books.
  • Locker management
  • National Library Board membership management

Key selection criteria

  • Degree in library science or Polytechnic diploma with appropriate experience
  • Two years relevant working experience in a library
  • Interest in facilitating learning
  • Well-organized, detail oriented and responsible/mature
  • Skilled in providing high quality customer service
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and PowerPoint

 Workings hours are as follows:

 Mon to Friday 8.30 am to 6pm

Important: Willing to cover night shift from 1pm to 9pm and Saturdays 9AM to 6PM whenever necessary
