We are excited to recruit a Senior Executive Student Careers to be to be part of our dynamic Student Careers team!
The incumbent will be responsible with providing support to the Senior Manager, Student Careers with the development, marketing, and delivery of quality employability and employment support services to students and alumni as well as the collection and maintenance of data to measure engagement, satisfaction, and effectiveness of support services contributing to the continuous improvements to enhance all support services and ensure its relevance to industry needs.
Career Advising & Employability Workshops
Lead the design and implementation of outreach strategies to promote career services
Provide advanced career advisory and coaching to students and alumni
Mentor junior staff in delivering advisory services
Oversee the development of outreach plans to maximize participation
Drive the selection of workshop topics informed by employer feedback and industry trends
Identify, engage, and manage external facilitators to deliver impactful content
Ensure smooth execution of workshop schedules and related activities
Mentoring programme & Internships
Strategically expand and promote mentorship programs
Build and sustain strong partnerships with program partners to maintain a pool of quality mentors
Oversee signature events such as Mixer Nights and other engagement activities
Lead the promotion and positioning of internship opportunities
Oversee the end-to-end internship process, from student engagement to successful placement
Strengthen industry partnerships to expand the pool of employers offering internships
Industry Events & Alumni Relations
Conceptualize and lead employment-focused events such as career fairs, company visits, and networking sessions
Secure and promote internship and graduate job opportunities through multiple channels
Drive the growth of industry and alumni networks to support employability initiatives
Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships that enhance student and alumni career outcomes
Graduates Employers’ Outcomes & Ad hoc Responsibilities
Oversee the design and facilitation of surveys to measure graduate employment outcomes and employer satisfaction
Analyze data to inform continuous improvement and strategic decision-making
Flexibly contribute to departmental objectives by performing other duties as required
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor degree from related disciplines.
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in events, marketing, or career services.
Demonstrates emerging leadership capabilities and effective stakeholder communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with proven experience in engaging diverse audiences.
Growth mindset, proactively contributes to ideas, shows enthusiasm for supporting youth development and employability initiatives.
Experience in the education industry or talent development sector preferred.
