James Cook University Singapore’s School of Social and Health Sciences offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the areas of psychology, arts, education, and guidance and counselling. The University also offers Higher Degree by Research programs such as Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Philosophy.
The School is seeking to appoint a Sessional Lecturer/Tutor in the area of Psychology to make significant contributions to teaching and all activities of the organisational unit and play a significant role within the discipline. The appointee will teach into psychology subjects.

Responsibilities:
Teaching into the Psychology programmes
Setting and marking assessments
Providing timely formative and summative feedback to students
Securing subject coordinator approval of exams and participating in moderation
Working closely with the subject coordinator on all matters related to the subject
Participating in meetings and training sessions as appropriate
Key Selection Criteria
Essential Criteria:
PhD or Master’s degree in Psychology
Evidence of quality teaching and supervision of students at the undergraduate level
The ability to teach across a range of Psychology subjects at the undergraduate level or Business Psychology subjects at the postgraduate level
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relations with colleagues in an academic environment and with people from diverse backgrounds
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Desirable Criteria:
Experience in curriculum development, management, and quality assurance
