We are looking for dedicated, motivated and detail oriented individual with a passion to work with students to join us as Student Affairs Administrator. We believe in the Student First approach and are looking for like minded individual.
Responsibilities:
Provide a first point of contact for students seeking support with attendance and insurance issues.
Refer students to the student counsellor as necessary for appropriate personal or academic support services.
Mediate and manage student withdrawal requests, tracking/reporting, and retention strategy.
Monitor daily attendance of students using Biometric attendance monitoring system.
Contact and provide counselling for students who do not meet attendance requirements and/or students who are referred to by academic staff.
Assist the student with their class leaves, leave of absences, withdrawal, and deferments.
Check to ensure all documentations have been provided by students who are applying for Semester Leave, Class Leave and Withdrawal.
Ensure all activities accord with current JCU policies procedures and practices.
Communicate with students using established campus networks and follow up on students who do not respond.
Completion of formalities for all new students (Medical check, uploading of documents on ICA portal, processing STP payments, and making appointments for collection of STP).
Maintain relevant EduTrust Certification compliance with proper keeping of documents and records.
Requirement :
Degree or diploma in related field of study. Psychology, Counselling degrees will be beneficial to your application but not compulsory.
1-2 years of relevant working experience to role and PEI environment.
Knowledge of ICA regulations and STP requirements.
Experience building relationships with customers/students and internal stakeholders from a diverse range of cultural, educational, and professional backgrounds.
Experience with customer/student centric processes and support level
Meticulous and self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills.
Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, problem-solve, and execute in a timely fashion.
The internal title of this role is Executive Attendance Monitoring.
