We are seeking to recruit a passionate and innovative Assistant Manager Student Careers to support the delivery of a future-focused student careers strategy and inspire students to navigate an ever-changing world with confidence. The successful incumbent will help students design a life they love, not just find a job.

As part of the Student Affairs team, you will play a key role in helping students explore possibilities, make informed decisions, and develop the skills needed to thrive in life and work. If you are passionate about student development, future readiness, and helping students design meaningful lives and careers, we would love to hear from you.
 
Key responsibilities:  
  • Deliver career coaching, workshops, and student development programmes.
  • Facilitate "Design Your Life" and design thinking activities for students.
  • Support the planning and execution of career fairs, employer engagement activities, and networking events.
  • Develop career education resources and learning materials.
  • Build relationships with employers, alumni, and industry partners.
  • Support students in career exploration, job search strategies, internships, and professional development.
  • Analyse student participation and outcomes to continuously improve programmes and services.
  • Collaborate with academic and professional staff to embed career development throughout the student journey.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors in Career Development, Education, Human Resources, Business, Counselling, or a related discipline.
  • 4-6 year's experience in careers services, coaching, learning and development, higher education, youth development, or related fields.
  • Exposure to or experience with "Design Your Life", design thinking, coaching methodologies, or human-centred design approaches.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
  • A growth mindset, creativity, and a passion for helping others succeed
  • Someone who is passionate about student development and believes in helping individuals create meaningful and purposeful lives.
