The incumbent will implement co-ordinate, monitor and review the optimization the University’s ranking through Business Intelligence strategies as well as to focus on the business improvement initiatives through innovation, feedbacks, benchmarking and continuous improvement. Incumbent is also responsible for analysis, benchmarking, reporting and presenting advice on institutional performance. This will include international rankings (e.g. QS, THE), external compliance reporting, performance reporting and other activities to support business strategy, planning and operations. Establish high level professional relationships and work collaboratively with academic leaders, professional staff and external stakeholders from a diverse range of business areas to ensure effective information flow and reporting to a high level of stakeholder satisfaction.
Analyse data sets using statistical tools and develop insights from the data sets
Organise, maintain and engage a comprehensive database of Academic and Employer contacts.
Develop long term and short term strategies for improving overall university ranking.
Develop and maintain research reporting and benchmarking, including data collection, analysis and modelling of institutional research performance and international rankings.
Perform a variety of administrative and professional assistance work with Business Intelligence Working Group to optimize the University’s ranking in the major University ranking systems (i.e. QS, THE and CWUR).
Maintain the professional and effective working relation with QS, THE, CWUR and other ranking providers.
Maintain the positive working relation with Industry partners (i.e. Academic peers, employer contacts) through regular communication and updates.
The Business Improvement drives the effective and efficiency University operations to enhance the student experience.
Asses the quality and efficiency of business activities and control in operational areas.
Process owner of the Business Contingency Plan
Complete specific projects as identified from time to time by the Chief Operating Officer
Post graduate qualified, preferably at Master's Level
High level command of the English language, both verbal and written
Adept at writing and developing content for media, adopting a suitable style and tone e.g. corporate, creative
High level experience and expertise in education marketing, experience in a tertiary institution advantageous
Well-developed skills in networking and building relationships
Strong cross border collaboration skills including the ability to contribute to team effectiveness and performance
Knowledge in data analytical tools, statistical tools, and/ or mathematical models
Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Honest and ethical approach to the work environment
Excellent time and project management, able to coordinate with colleagues from various departments, manage vendors and liaise with external stakeholders
Careful and with attention to detail
A self-starter and responsible individual who can work independently and at the same time, a team player with strong interpersonal skills
