This is a unique opportunity for a high-performing professional to lead the University's employability agenda, graduate outcomes strategy, employer engagement initiatives, work-integrated learning programmes, and institutional reporting on graduate success. The role combines strategic leadership, data analytics, industry partnership development, quality assurance, and student success to drive positive employment outcomes for our graduates.
Reporting to the Director, Student Affairs, the successful incumbent will drive and provide leadership expertise around student career development, employability programmes, graduate outcomes research, internship initiatives, employer engagement activities, and university-wide graduate and employer surveys. The Manager/Senior Manager Student Careers will work closely with senior leaders, academic divisions, employers, alumni, regulators and external stakeholders to strengthen graduate employability and support the University's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the University's employability and career development strategy.
Lead initiatives that enhance graduate employment, salary outcomes and career readiness.
Oversee Graduate Employment Surveys, Employer Surveys and graduate outcomes reporting.
Deliver executive reports, benchmarking analyses and strategic insights to University leadership.
Build and maintain strong partnerships with employers, industry bodies, alumni and community organisations.
Lead the expansion of internship and Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities for students.
Manage survey governance, procurement, vendor relationships and project budgets.
Support audit, accreditation, EduTrust and regulatory reporting requirements.
Lead and develop a high-performing Student Careers team.
Represent Student Affairs on institutional committees, strategic projects and external engagement activities.

Requirements
A Bachelor's degree qualification in Education, Business, Human Resources, Social Sciences or a related discipline.
At least 7–10 years of relevant leadership experience in career development, employability, higher education, workforce development, research, analytics or related fields.
Experience managing graduate outcomes, surveys, reporting and data analytics.
Demonstrated success in stakeholder engagement and partnership development.
Strong project management, leadership and communication skills.
Experience supporting quality assurance, accreditation or regulatory reporting processes is highly desirable.
Strategic, innovative and results-oriented, with the ability to think forward, innovate, drive continuous improvement, deliver measurable outcomes and create solutions with a strong sense of accountability.
Data-driven, analytical and adaptable, leveraging insights to solve complex challenges, make informed decisions , and respond effectively to changing environments.
Collaborative and influential leader, committed to service excellence and student success, with a proven ability to build strong relationships, engage stakeholders, and communicate confidently across all levels of the organisation.
